Event Overview

Earth Day is a special day each year on April 22, when people all around the world come together to celebrate and take care of our planet. It’s a time to learn about the environment and do things that help nature, like reducing waste, planting trees, saving water, or using less electricity.

The goal of Earth Day is to remind everyone that we all share the Earth, and it’s up to us to keep it clean and healthy for ourselves and future generations. Celebrate Earth Day at the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area with our Earth Day Trivia Hike.

Details:

- Families and individuals can participate for free (all visitors must register and pay for parking, or display a pass)
- At five locations along Mountain Trail and Aspen Trail you will find envelopes with trivia questions and answers
- Starting at 10:00 am on April 22, you will find these envelopes at... Sandy’s Lookout, Mountain Lookout, Aspen Forest Sign, Wild Rose Sign and Black Bear Sign.

Rules:

- This is a self-guided experience. Please follow these rules to make participating fun for everyone:
- Be gentle with the sheets and envelopes (parents with young children may want to keep them out of small hands)
- Leave all envelopes where you find them so that the next person can read them
- If you find an envelope that has been damaged or torn, bring it back to our building so staff can replace it
- You can participate in our trivia hike any time on April 22 between 10:00 am and 11:00 pm
- Feel free to take a selfie of you and a trivia sheet, and tag @ASCConservation
- If you have any questions, please contact us at [email protected] or call 403-931-1042

Help us protect the ASCCA by donating to support conservation efforts.
